The 4th UK-China Teaching, Learning, and Educational Technology (TILE-TEC 2026) Conference will be held in Chengdu, China on May 22-24, 2026. It aims to bring together scholars, researchers, educators, students, and professionals from the UK and China to discuss the evolving role of Generative AI in higher education, with a focus on transnational education (TNE). With the rapid development of AI technologies, particularly Generative AI, the higher education sector faces unique challenges and unprecedented opportunities. This conference provides a platform for participants to exchange insights, share innovative practices, and explore the implications of AI-driven tools in transforming teaching, learning, and educational technologies. Scope.

This conference is jointly organised by the University of Glasgow (UofG) and the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC) and will be an in-person event with some online elements.
